Suddenly, Tim /wishes/ it was Giselle; he /knows/ she's dead.
He hasn't seen Stephanie Brown in eight years. When he left Gotham, Stephanie was one of the few people who asked him to stay. His relationship with her had always been strange, full of will-we-or-won't-we moments and times when one or both them came close to telling the other person how they /truly/ felt.
It never happened, though. Somewhere along the way, they'd settled for being friends, not lovers.
"Steph...how did you find me?" Tim asks.
Stephanie was one of the few people he /didn't/ contact when he came back last year. She had her own life and he didn't want to drop back into it and mess things up.
No, that wasn't true. He didn't want her to question him or deal with her anger at his leaving. That was the truth.
