The water freezes, becoming ice around Cerdian as Firestorm's power makes itself apparent.

"Interesting. I /almost/ believed you to be a mage as well. But I see through your trickery, little man. Moreover, I see through /you/. You care for the woman, and a man is never so weak as when he is afflicted by his feelings for a woman." Cerdian's voice says, echoing from the water.

Cerdian begins reciting another spell, and the symbol of the Black Lantern Corps becomes visible as the water beneath the ice begins to bubble and boil. The nitrogen itself is unspent, but Cerdian reforms himself in short order to look at his attackers.

"You should be careful with your woman, friend." Cerdian says to Michael. "This man has been known to kill men in order to take their women." he says, pointing at Damien.

Cerdian gestures and some of the water leaps out at Damien.

Unfortunately, Damien isn't aware that the water contains the liquid nitrogen that Firestorm tried to use to contain him.
