"And what if I /am/ angry, Lian? What then? I know that Plain, Boring Cerdian never stayed angry with you or stood up to you, but somewhere along the way, I got tired of being your lapdog." Cerdian says, turning to look at her with a hard expression in his violet eyes.
"After all, our 'friendship' as you call it, was one long series of you doing something stupid and then complaining to me about how it all went wrong and how unfair it was that it happened. And then I would sit there and listen to you complain, even though I /told/ you how things would turn out." Cerdian says.
"Of course, as long as there's a thrill involved, Lian Harper can be counted on to be front and center." Cerdian says.
