It would be very odd to find Dr Fate here one would think. He was trying to make sure there was no lasting damage.
Just what had he done? He was puzzling over this when he got the sense someone else was there. And he should be very embarrassed someone else had to come but he couldn't bring himself to care. He had to be sure that no magic had been soaked into the books by what had happened.
