Jay's danger sense is not nearly so acute. He's also much further away, near the gym. But he does feel the surge when Ruth transforms... which is almost always trouble. He ducks into cover and shifts as well.
"Jayhawk!"
Covering the ground from there takes almost no time, and a mostly red, with some blue, costumed hero flanks the man, across from Ruth. His stance is somewhat less passive.
"Let him go. Now."
