Alerron considers, once again, asking for Mar'i to be removed from service with the Darkstars so that she has a chance to grow up with her mother in her life. Alerron loves his mother, but there are some things that he is more acquainted with.
Still, he is glad at least for Mar'i being with them right now. She reminds him enough of Seyla to take away some of the sadness of missing her.
