"Do you remember Lian?" Cerdian asks.
Cait probably will. She's the surface person he's spoken most highly of and has for years. Being a woman, Cait would have picked up on Cerdian's...infatuation with the human woman.
"I can't stop thinking about her, Cait. I have loved for a long, long time...but now she is having another man's children. I don't know if I can live with that. We fight all the time now and I just don't know what to do anymore.
I tell myself that I will cut my ties with the surface and never go back, yet I can't bring myself to do it fully." he says quietly.
"How do you forget someone who has already forgotten you?" he asks.
