Marissa's admission that Keith isn't dead rocks Jai to his core. He saw the apartment explode and Keith didn't have super-speed. There was no way he could have rigged all of that up ahead of time.
"When did he call you? How long ago? Are you /sure/ it was him?" Jai asks.
The part about her being Robin also catches him off-guard.
"Did Keith know about...you?" Jai asks, unsure how much she knew about Keith in return. He couldn't assume anything and he didn't want to accidentally give away any of Keith's secrets, either, whether he was dead or alive.
