"Lian, you can do this." Cerdian says. "You're the strongest woman I know and there is nothing you can't do when you put your mind to it. Your children have been waiting to meet you. I'm sure they'd love to see their mother. They love her." Cerdian tells Lian, leaning in closer to her.
The last hour didn't matter. All the hurtful things she'd said to him meant nothing right now. All he hoped for was that Lian would give birth safely and that the twins would be whole.
"They love her their mother the same way I love her. The way I always have." Cerdian whispers, letting her squeeze his hand.
