Re: Chicago
Florian runs through the list of people they know in his head, but there's only one or two that would be willing or able to take care of his mother, the deteriorating cancer patient. It makes him sick the way their friends had offered their condolences and slowly disappeared unable to watch what happened to her. He takes a deep breath and rakes his hand over his hair flinching at the claws.
"I can leave her a voice mail, but I need to actually get a hold of one of her friends for tonight and tomorrow. My mom's sick and she needs help sometimes. Just gimme a minute."
He drops the distance to the nearest roof and calls until he's left a voicemail suitably vague and reassuring for his mom and found her closest coworker willing to take her on for a 'girly sleepover'. He hopes she'll have fun, be well, and won't worry.
He stows his phone and drifts back up slowly to Wonder Girl, still trying to figure out how he was flying.
