She's perfectly happy living here. She worked hard to be able to afford it and not need a roommate.
"Well I know more than I used to." There's the sound of a dresser being forced open and the handles rattling.
"I mean I had always wondered because I had always known I was adopted. And now I know something I didn't know before."
There's a paused. "Did I leave my shoes out there? The black flats."
She likes shoes. Shoes are awesome.
