She nods in agreement
"Short hand doesn't work right with this kind of thing..... I think I can safely take the spell apart if I fix that."
She digs around in her purse and finds a pair of finger nail clippers. She rolls her eyes slightly but figures this will wok and carefully scratches into the stone with the nail file part of the clippers.
