"I...can't say," she says starting to retreat just a bit. Just touching on that has her wanting to get out of here so she doesn't have to talk about it. Not that she is going to go anywhere. There's no where to go.
"Well.... fine." He has her off guard. She's also feeling tense because he keeps getting close to things she doesn't want to talk about.
