He gives her a concerned frown. "Why not? You're a professional you said. Once the job is done, it's done. Find a new employer. I mean...look what happened tonight." He's assuming there's a free-lance aspect to her work. After all, just because she was working for the mob now didn't mean she would always do so. The rules of the mafia always applied a bit differently to thieves.
