He realizes this is her version of sorry and he'll pretend she wasn't trying to escape for now. Maybe dinner and company might get her to stay longer and not try leaving and aggravating her wounds.
"C'mon, I haven't eaten since this morning." He hands her a fork and smiles. "So let's start over and pretend you weren't escaping alright? Here I go: Hey Foxy I thought you might feel cooped up here so I brought dinner if you wanted some company." He points at her now. "Your turn."
