The Triangle may have been a cesspool of crime and corruption in Star City, but it was also home to some of the best late night take out tacos in the country. Sure, it was dangerous. If you weren't an Element Man, anyway. Anyone who tried to mug him would get more than they bargained for.
And hey, he was supposed to be "patrolling" right? Keep an eye on the stuff people like GK and his gun moll weren't able to handle on their own?
