Settling In
Living at the new headquarters was a lot better than his small apartment. It was cleaner for starters and a lot more quieter at night. Dex hadn't slept so well in his life. Though there were times he did miss the gun shots and the wail of sirens.

Staying here meant helping out though.

Currently Dex was moving old stuff from upstairs into the basement.

The elevator opened and Dex stepped in carrying a large box.

Layla didn't stop by the Hall of Justice often, but she'd heard that the JLI had started up again, and Lizzy was on the team. Layla hadn't seen Lizzy since coming back from Egypt, so she thought she'd stop by and see how she was doing.

Layla was in costume, but she didn't have her mask on. Flying was just a quick and easy way for her to get around. She walked into the building and noticed a guy going to the elevator.

"Hold the door please," she said, running to catch the elevator.
