It puzzled him. They all puzzled him. He truly believed they had a great destiny ahead of them, but he was beginning to believe he understood less than he had thought.

Ganthet stopped suddenly, as though the words would not come. He looked down, and found an amber spear of energy protruding from his chest. "I..."
He looked at the New Guardians, as he sank to his knees. "Run... Run!"
