He doesn't agree that it's not his fault but he senses that this is not something Cindy would be okay with him saying. And he doesn't want to argue, especially now.

"Okay um..how? Because after that I should probably only teleport as far as we can see and..." Honestly, after that last fiasco he wasn't confident about his teleporting anymore.
