He sighs. Here's where it all falls apart.
"I've never been interested in... getting too close to anyone. Because... I mean, I've had friends, but to rely on anyone on any level other than that... you never know what will happen tomorrow."
He considers. "But... that hurts you three. And I never would want that. And I..." He stops again, thinking of the words.
"Josh. You're incredibly handsome, of course, but there's more than just that. You're giving and sensitive and loving and... many things that I'm not. I hurt you by ignoring the connection we'd made. I'd... be honored to be with you."
He raises his finger before anyone can talk.
"Wait. Because... I'm not done." He looks to Katima. "Katima. We've barely met, but we connected on a level that I'd never expected. I don't think I could be having this conversation today without your help, and I hurt you by hurting the others around me through my stupidity. I'd be honored to be with you."
He turns to Avalon. "And... Avalon. You were assigned as my partner. I never expected you... and you were the best surprise I've ever had. I trust you implicitly. And I hurt you..." He breathes out. "...in a lot of ways I'm still figuring out. I'd be honored to be with you, too."
He shakes his head. "But I don't deserve any of you. And none of you should be hurt by my choice... because I can't possibly choose."
