Avalon nodded his head, his eyes looking into Katima's as he murmured "Yea. School is.. a place of learning. By most human standards you and me and Josh are all far behind other kids our age."
He smiles a bit shyly, his tone sheepish as he says "I am afraid.. I barely know how to read Nalorian, let alone English.. I've not been in school in ten years. I was going to ask you if you would be willing to help me with my home work if I also helped you.. Maybe the two of us can do it more easily together than apart."
