Strippers can readily wear masks. Customers, not so much. Thankfully, his identity and general curiosity about the town make for an easy excuse to be just about anywhere. The mask hides enough of her face he can't make out a lot, and the hair isn't familiar. Still, he commits her to memory - not hard to justify looking a stripper over rather thoroughly.
