Avalon's hands clench into fists as Alerron kisses Josh. He doesn't like this situation, one single bit. There are other things he doesn't like - like Katima's instant loyalty for an unknown, and her disregard for Green Lantern protocol. For a military man such as Avalon, that's very close to unheard of.
When the girl moves closer to him, his expression softens, but his resolve does not. he's simply much more careful about broadcasting his distrust. Her fear speaks the most to him, and he reaches out to touch her shoulder, sending a little ray of Blue Hope her way, to help ease her fears. "All will be well, Sister." he murmurs.
