Maria being a part of his life, for good or ill, doesn't change his dedication to the job he took upon himself, and it certainly doesn't change the enforced obligation to the Suicide Squad, like it or not.
"Alright." he agrees, heading back for the heavy bag, unless she brings something else up. He's sure its going to be something overseas - and for a while, that's probably for the best.
