Lantern Kids
Avalon has been on Earth long enough that he feels it is time to start writing about his adventures. It's important to him to remember things as they truly happened. He gets a notebook, and begins to write in it; though the language he uses is beautiful with flowing and round characters. Certainly not anything anyone on Earth has probably seen before. As he is always looking to expand his knowledge of English, he leaves the facing page blank, and then carefully transcribes the journal as he writes it, so that each page shows the text in Naltorian and English both. It's also because he doesn't wish to keep things from his lovers; and one of them doesn't happen to have a Universal Translator.

The first thing in his journal that Avalon writes about is when he returned to Earth and reunited with Josh. After that, he writes about the day that he and Josh got to set up their room. He tells of when Henry and Josh went flying and his own conversation with them later on that day.

When Alerron crash landed, Avalon had a conversation with Josh while at ther crash site that he wrote about. Several days later, he spoke with Henry about how he felt about it all. There is quite a lot that Ava shares, about how he feels and his thoughts on things. Not long afterwards, Avalon ended up meeting another winged creature, and went home drunk.

Avalon also wrote about this thoughts and fears, and his search to figure out who he was. He awoke Josh in the middle of the night and talked long about feeling and how he felt he didn't know himself. Avalon has been going through a certain adjustment period, and through the help of his friends, he has been able to find some answers to his questions within himself.

He goes on to write about how Henry spoke with Katima over Alerron, and the plan the boys have devised to help save Alerron's mother. He still hasn't seen the outcome of that yet - they've not gone into space - but he shares his fears and doubts. Just because Avalon has a deep well of Hope, that doesn't mean he has no fear and no worry. They simply do not control him. More recently, Henry and Avalon did homework together, that ended up with them going out to train in space.

Avalon writes for quite a while, and once he's finished transcribing everything in both languages, he sets the notebook out on the bedside table and then goes off to find his friends.

It had taken a bit for Henry to get Avalon into it.. But now that he was Ava had turned into a mean first person shooter game player person .. thing. He wasn't sure what to call himself, but he loved the wargames. He happens to be up on the console in Henry's room, a headset on his own head.

"Where I always am; right behind you. Look at the tower." he says into the teamspeak channel. Ava's got his sniper set up in a pretty nice location.

	"Hrm..." comes the comlinked reply from Avalon. There a few beats, and then he says "I think he's in the burnt out building two clicks east of your current position. There's also a wide open area that's pretty heavily guarded that you would have to cross." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Copy that." replies Avalon in a tense tone. Then again, this was A Big Game. They'd only been fighting their way up the team rankings for the past week. Of course Ava was tense.

As Henry's toon comes up to the edge of the open area, Avalon begins to put down suppressive cover, getting their attention off Henry and onto his location. Ava is going to have to move once Henry is clear, but he's got a good clear route to intercept his partner.

Henry swears as weaponsfire is unleashed all around him, and he dodges for cover.

"Gaaah! Fuck!" He gets under cover, but is pinned for the moment.

"I swear to god, Avalon, I'm not just going to shoot Peter." He snarls, then mutters something in an alien tongue. He may not be getting the syntax exactly right, but it's some sort of threat involving questioning Peter's parentage and a threat to do something unclean to his corpse.

	When Henry gets pinned, Ava simply pulls up his scope and starts picking off enemies. By the time Henry is muttering in a rather familiar way, Ava blinks a few times in shock. Where did that come from? "I'm impressed, where'd you learn that?" He asks, unable to keep a smile off his lips. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Henry grins, despite the annoyance of the game. "Been learning from my ring," he admits. "I'm ducking east, so cover me, in three... two... one... NOW!" Henry charges towards where Avalon last saw his classmate. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Impressive." Replies Ava, his fingers flying as he covers Henry's motion. He gets Henry across the alley and under cover and then turns his scope up in time to see the glint off a scope to his far right.

"Crap - I'm spotted!" He cries and tries to swing his gun around... and then the controls go dead as a red sheet falls down on the screen, signifying he'd been killed.

"A got fragged. I'm commin' down." Avalon says into the chat, then takes his headset off and comes down to flop next to Henry on the couch.

	"Good!" Replies Ava with a grin. He lays back against the couch, his limbs draped lazily. "Okay, so is the irony of us being good at this game lost on you?" 	"No, I don't know.." reples Avalon with a smile. "That's really nice of you.." He grins a bit and then goes to slip his ring off, all the while grinning at Henry. 	Avalon nods his head to Henry's words, giving him a chance. To say his bit. "You are doing quite well.. although there are few people to flirt with in this tongue." he then says with a bit or a smirk. The smirk fades quickly, and in a sober tone he says softly "Thank you..' 	"Or whatever." Replies Avalon in agreement. New blushes a faint bit, and then reached out to cover Henry's hand with his own. "No one has.. tried so hard to do everything in their power to accept me as you have. It.. helps me feel.." 	In many ways, Henry's three word explination makes perfect sense. Its the explination Avalon gives many people, himself; it's the most simple truth in his life and something he clings to in some ways.
