"I'm so sorry, J'anna." Tim says quietly. So it was true. He'd taken advantage of her in his weakness and now she couldn't even stand to be in the same room as him. He didn't blame her; right now, he really didn't think highly of himself.
"I don't hate you, J'anna. Obviously, you did the only thing you thought would help, and I took advantage of that. I...remember thinking that she was here, though I knew damned well it wasn't possible. But...I need to believe it to make myself feel better and I forced you into something you didn't want..." his voice trails off because he doesn't want to continue.
How was this any different from rape? How was he any different from the scumbags he beat to a pulp for forcing themselves on defenseless women. J'anna wasn't defenseless, but she had a kind heart, and she'd only wanted to help him when he asked.
And this was how he'd repaid that kindness.
"If you...if you want to tell Lian or the others what I did, I understand. If you want to call the cops, I understand that, too." he says.
