Kid Flash thinks he's just a step ahead of things, racing down the Titan's leg toward Petra's path at top speed. He's running, faster and faster, but the smoke and waves cause him to hesitate momentarily in his run.
That proves to be a mistake.
Jai loses his balances and falls into the water, his speed working against him as it drives him beneath the waves.
