In Another Location...
He pressed the button and cut the feed to the camera when the young man noticed it. Himon's information about Darkseid had proven correct, but the seeing the boy was an unexpected bonus.
The fleets were nearly too late, but they'd made it in enough time to save everyone, the boy most especially.
"Risking your life for love, are you, boy? I guess some apples /don't/ roll far from the tree." he says softly, pulling up the image of Rex Stewart looking at the camera again.
He presses another button on the console and a second screen brings up a picture of a young boy in the care of his other operatives clear across the universe. He studies the pictures, the features of both for a long moment and smiles to himself.
"No, not far from the tree at all." he says to himself, then shuts down both screens. He has work to do, starting with making sure that Darkseid pays for this.
