Dolphin sighed. She'd never fully approved her husband and son always running off to the surface world, never knowing if she'd see them again, if they'd come back from whatever crisis they were helping out with.
But it was in their blood, and they did it to help those that they loved. While she worried about them, she knew that they did it for a reason, and not just to get a thrill.
"In my selfish heart, I'd wish that you'd stay home with me and your father. But I have never been able to stop you from following yours, have I?" He could be as stubborn as she could sometimes, and while she wished that she could just ground him and tell him to go to his room, she knew that he couldn't stop him. "Be safe, Cerdian." She hugged him. "Come back to me when you can."
