Before she's able to enter the chamber, Lian will be stopped by James Abbot, Damien's bodyguard. He's carrying a small, cloth wrapped parcel under one arm and stops when he sees her. He bows deeply to Lian, the Lady Demon, as she is known among the rest of the League.
"My lady, before you can enter, I must pass along orders from the Master." James says.
"When you enter the chamber tonight, Mistress Lian, you must follow what I am about to tell you to the letter. It could mean the Master's life if any part is not observed. You must take the bundle that I am about to hand you and pass it to Master Damien exactly like this." James says, placing his right hand on top of the bundle, his left hand under it, and slowly extending it to Lian.
"Do you understand, Mistress Lian?" he asks.
