Damien composes himself, inwardly berating himself for the betrayal of emotion in front of his mother. She will speak of this later, he knows it.
"A witness? Now I'm /certain/ something is wrong. 'The only thing worse than missing a target is leaving a witness.'" Damien recites from memory. Father hated witnesses. Loose ends always came back to haunt you.
"I suppose it's fortunate that I've given Lian a mission in Star City already. Perhaps she can check into Father's welfare while she's there and help get him out the moment he breaks out or is broken out. I am certain he's already arranging for one or the other.
He despises being locked up for any reason." Damien says. "I have other matters to attend to, and cleaning up his mess isn't high on my priority list just now."
Damien takes a sip of his wine, considering something. A case his harder to prove without a witness.
"Does this man live still?" he asks his mother.
