Jai had to go with what he could see thus far. Asteria hadn't actually attacked anyone, as far as he could see. If she wasn't going to hurt anyone, then there was no reason to start a fight.
"All right, if you're not going to attack anyone, then we'll see what we can do about getting everyone to leave you alone for the night. Then you go back to wherever the Titans come from and we all go about our business." Jai says.
"Can we agree on that as a fair deal?" he asks.
