When he didn't instantly let her go she opened her mouth to babble apologies only to be shut up by his lips. It was without conscious thought that she responded by kissing him back in earnest. After all of the anxiety she'd worked herself into trying not to think about this, the actual surrender was completely without stress.
She wasn't blushing or panicking when she eventually pulled back, but her eyes were very, very wide.
