Mitzi helps with the food while watching out for Iris. Mitzi is a decent cook, having had to do all of the cooking for herself and Annie until recently.
Mitzi stared off into space for a moment while she was washing vegetables, realizing that this is her first Thanksgiving without her mother. There's just something /wrong/ with that.
Of course, not watching what she's doing, she's only alerted to the sink overflowing once it's already happened and the water is ending up on the floor.
"Oh crap." she says, turning off the water and sighing.
