As Lian breaks the charm, a violet glow suffuses the room, the energy blanketing Roy much like the linens on his bed. Lian will feel warmth spread through her body and Cerdian's presence in the room for several seconds. It fades soon enough, and for a long time, there appears to be no visible change.
What Lian does not immediately see is that, beneath the bandages, Roy's wounds are healing rapidly. She'll then begin to see the color return to his skin, going from a ghastly pale to a healthful peach. The heart-rate monitor at his bedside begins to beep louder and louder until Roy's eyes open for the first time in nearly a month.
He looks around a like a deer in headlights. He tries to speak, but the breathing tubes prevent him from doing so.
However, he's immensely glad that the first face he sees upon waking is that of his little Lianakin.
He does, in fact, squeeze her hand.
