Given that Roy's just come out of coma and not firing on all cylinders, he doesn't connect his daughter's silence to his recent words.
He thinks the silence has to do with Jade.
"Honey, it's okay. If you fond your mother, I'm not going to be upset. If you didn't find her, we can work together this time and make sure she's dealt with. You don't have to keep living with her hanging over your head." Roy says.
