Cinna Thompson had almost single handedly pulled the prom together. The ballroom was decorated with festoons of floating flowers. Stars hung from the ceiling, each set to sparkle as if they were properly in the sky. The outskirts of the room were set with small round tables that could accommodate one or two couples. A table of refreshments was guarded at all times by Seamus Morgendorfer and a rotating cast of other faculty who volunteered to chaperon for the evening.
A glittery ballot box stood next to the entrance where students were set to write down their chosen prom king and queen and drop their tickets into the box. Students began to stream in after dinner to quiet music playing over the speakers. The band, a local group called Vampira was scheduled to begin playing around 7:30.
Needless to say it was going to be an excellent evening.

Ryder/Scar/Vi
He knocked on the appropriate door and waited, with his hands behind his back, to present each of his dates with a rose. One was lavender and one was red - he had tried to cater for both of their outfits.
Vi had just finished putting her her blue earrings and turned to the door. "My my Ryder," she grinned. "I had no idea you could pull off something like this," she meant it as a compliment but as usual it came off a little bitchy.
They both leaned in and gave him a kiss on the cheek, Vi on his left and Scar on his right.
Violet appeared at the door and now Ryder had a full view of his Prom dates. "You'd be surprised by what I'm capable of," he winked. "I did get the hottest bitches in school to come to the Prom with me." An achievement he was rather proud of. "And may I say," he continued, following that double kiss. "That you are both looking particularly fine tonight." He finally gave them their roses. He hadn't been quite organised enough for corsages and just getting the roses had been enough trouble. He had thought of a charm that could remedy the situation though - it may have been used by him in a less.. amicable way in the past. But it would do the trick here, or so he hoped.
"Hold your roses next to your wrists," Ryder instructed, tapping at his own wrist. He fished his wand from his jacket and pointed it toward the (thankfully thornless) stem of Scarlet's rose first. "Spira." It was a quick spell, and if it worked as planned, the stem of the rose should coil around her wrist and he could continue on with Violet's.
Scar beamed at him and did as he said, holding her rose to her wrist. She watched as the stem coiled itself around her wrist and giggled delightedly. "You get bonus points for improvising."
Vi did the same and looped her now corsaged arm with Ryder, Scar took his other arm. They were sure they were going to cause a little ripple in the rumor mill around school but honestly... what hadn't already been said about them? Violet didn't particularly care and Scar was too oblivious to even notice.
He sighed dramatically at Scar's comment. "If only the professor's around here saw it like you. Remember that time in combative when I got disarmed.. and I got the fucker right between the eyes with my cell phone? Bitch kicked me out!"
As they headed off to the ballroom, Ryder continued to recount various tales where improvising had gotten him, or somebody else, into trouble. He was happy for any input from the girls, as well - they could be trouble in their own right. As the trio arrived at the ballroom they found themselves waiting in line. Ryder assumed that the girls would like photos. And dressed the way that he was, so did he. They could be a little more serious. He would be happy if he got a childish gesture or two in. "Ready," he grinned as they reached the front of the line.
The girls giggled and added their own comments of improvising the entire way to the ball. Once they made it to the front of the line they grinned brightly. "Well duh, you don't get two girls looking this hot without piccys," Vi grinned. "It didn't happen if there is no photographic evidence," she laughed.
Just before the first picture was snapped each girl snuck a kiss to his cheeks and they were reprimanded for their behavior. It wasn't as if they cared. They carried right on, making funny faces and lewd gestures.
