Cinna Thompson had almost single handedly pulled the prom together. The ballroom was decorated with festoons of floating flowers. Stars hung from the ceiling, each set to sparkle as if they were properly in the sky. The outskirts of the room were set with small round tables that could accommodate one or two couples. A table of refreshments was guarded at all times by Seamus Morgendorfer and a rotating cast of other faculty who volunteered to chaperon for the evening.
A glittery ballot box stood next to the entrance where students were set to write down their chosen prom king and queen and drop their tickets into the box. Students began to stream in after dinner to quiet music playing over the speakers. The band, a local group called Vampira was scheduled to begin playing around 7:30.
Needless to say it was going to be an excellent evening.

7:00-7:30
Luka/Addy
But then, she'd already put herself through the ordeal of dress shopping, so she might as well finish up the rest of the experience. When Luka came to get her though... well, she was a little surprised.
"Wow. Have I never seen you dressed up before?"
"And no, you don't get to find out what I'm wearing instead."
"Maybe the corner's not a bad idea. For drinking," she added, just to be clear. She was starting to wonder if maybe she didn't need to just get buzzed and stop thinking so much.
AB/Cinna
"Hey hottie. Got a minute to get a picture done?"
She almost ignored the voice behind her, except that she recognized it as Abby's. She turned to say hi to her date, and broke into a massive grin. "Holy shit! You even matched my outfit! Are we pair of stone-cold foxes or what?"
Leland/Veronica
"You got a dress?"
Ryder/Scar/Vi
He knocked on the appropriate door and waited, with his hands behind his back, to present each of his dates with a rose. One was lavender and one was red - he had tried to cater for both of their outfits.
Vi had just finished putting her her blue earrings and turned to the door. "My my Ryder," she grinned. "I had no idea you could pull off something like this," she meant it as a compliment but as usual it came off a little bitchy.
They both leaned in and gave him a kiss on the cheek, Vi on his left and Scar on his right.
Violet appeared at the door and now Ryder had a full view of his Prom dates. "You'd be surprised by what I'm capable of," he winked. "I did get the hottest bitches in school to come to the Prom with me." An achievement he was rather proud of. "And may I say," he continued, following that double kiss. "That you are both looking particularly fine tonight." He finally gave them their roses. He hadn't been quite organised enough for corsages and just getting the roses had been enough trouble. He had thought of a charm that could remedy the situation though - it may have been used by him in a less.. amicable way in the past. But it would do the trick here, or so he hoped.
"Hold your roses next to your wrists," Ryder instructed, tapping at his own wrist. He fished his wand from his jacket and pointed it toward the (thankfully thornless) stem of Scarlet's rose first. "Spira." It was a quick spell, and if it worked as planned, the stem of the rose should coil around her wrist and he could continue on with Violet's.
Rhys and Alistair go to the Prom :]
As the door opened Rhys presented his fellow guard with a slightly dried-out bouquet of flowers. "Ready to go to the Prom?" he tried to mimic the level of teenage excitement reserved for such events, but wound up laughing instead.
Re: Rhys and Alistair go to the Prom :]
His dress robes were in good condition, they were only a few years old - ditching the ones he’d ‘inherited’ once he had enough to afford what he wanted. He was considering just how tousled his hair ought to be at a formal event when there was a knock and he bounded for the door, to find his flatmate, complete with decomposing flowers, he struggled not to laugh. “I can’t believe you remembered my favourites!” He chimed with a gleeful smile, before dissolving into laughter as he attempted to take a delighted sniff of the bouquet. “Let’s hope those little brats don’t try ruin what could be only the best night of my life.” He sniggered, amused at his intentional exaggeration.
Re: Rhys and Alistair go to the Prom :]
It wasn't long until the guards were on their way though. Rhys and Alistair were to arrive early so that they could check things over and see if there was anything last minute that they could help with. It was also important for them to be there as the students were arriving. There was the potential for photo drama, of course, and who knew what some of the kids might try smuggling in. As they arrived they passed the photo station. Rhys stopped just beyond it and gave Alistair an 'are you thinking what I'm thinking' kind of look.
Maddy/Arnaud
She asked Arnaud with a week to go and started planning her gown, a vintage number in black to which she added delicate jewelry.
They decided that they'd go dutch for this event and met at the door, lining up to get their pictures done.
He grinned at Maddy in her vintage dress, strange and yet sublime. "You look lovely darling," he said leaning down to kiss her cheek.
He slipped the corsage he'd picked out over her wrist. "Hope this is okay. I wasn't sure which color you'd be wearing." Then he escorted her over to the corner set up for photos which had just been vacated and let himself be posed as the photographer suggested.
Hawthorne/November
It was almost 7:20 before he arrived properly at November's door. He tried to flatten his hair a bit and straighten out of his jacket. The latter worked, the former not so much. He knocked cheerfully and waited for her answer.
She pulled open the door with a big smile. "Hi," she said her voice slightly higher pitched than normal. She cleared her throat and shook her head. "You look boss, a jacket and all!"
