Did you use a digital cam or a webcam for those photos? I've found that with a lot of digicams with flash, blonde hair looks more yellow. Maybe if you used natural lighting without flash, it'd look more like it does in person?
I actually recommend doing just that, 'cause I don't think the blonde would be so bad to me personally if you weren't so pale and it weren't so yellow (I think the lack of flash + outside lighting would fix both of those and give a more accurate depiction of the true color!)
It would make sense too since you said people irl want it to stay yellow, right? :)
