The stake from Walker already had been a mortal blow to the Charniputra vampire, but the subsequent attacks reduce it to dust in record time.

The remaining vampire was about to dive after the human when the sun-blast hit. "How the hell--? Stupid cheating mortal magicks!" It hisses in rage, and takes off, body smoking as it endures a pain it hasn't had to imagine in years.

Walker is caught by Dory, and allows himself to be brought back to the ground, brusquely pushing away and balancing on his one good leg once they're on the ground. "Somebody bring me my wheelchair." He huffs, looking around the group thoughtfully, before giving a whistle. A young woman in glasses and not much else hurries out of the house he'd come from moments earlier. "Ashley, pick up two of yours and canvass the neighborhood. If the one they chased off comes back, with or without friends, I want to know ahead of time.

The young woman nods, and then... changes. It wasn't the seamless shapeshifting that Dory had just demonstrated, but more like a full-body sneeze that left some kind of bear-creature where the human had been a moment earlier. The creature settles onto all fours, gives a brief bellowing call, then takes off down the street.

Walker nods as she leaves. "Good kid. Used to be a paralegal."
