The sentinel program was developed to maintain the peace and keep the mutant population on the East Coast under control. Mutants' existence was barely tolerated and the establishment knew the danger they could post. The sentinels guaranteed they were kept in line.
Patrols were common and frequent.
One sentinel spotted two mutants. "Halt! Idenitify yourself."
