The shield does stop the sonics - though its a strain. Even early, Klaw remains intensely powerful in his domain. Fair reason he's been a challenge for some teams of Avengers. But the magic is up to the task for the moment.
The crowbar is a different matter, its not sheer strength, though there's plenty of that too, the weapon just interacts weirdly with magic, hitting the shields enough to keep it from slamming into Quinn, but also tearing through the shields like they were an actual physical barrier.
"Your party tricks ain't gonna save you for long, Houdini."
