bullseye_ ([info]bullseye_) wrote in [info]marvel_legends,
Lester is grinning to beat the band, bouncing on the balls of his feet with excitement as he watches the explosion that sends the the bike and it's passenger flying.

The hired henchmen are already scrambling down toward the accident, looking first for the briefcase. Bullseye has instructed them that this is their primary objective. Find the briefcase, or else join the other corpse at the side of the road; which they'll probably do anyway. He's pretty sure.

Movement from the corner of his eye draws Bullseye's attention to the wreckage of the bike, where a figure tries to struggle to his feet, crawling along the ground. The courier - he was still alive.

Angry, Bullseye stalks to the slope of the hill and slides down on the soles of his boots with surprising grace. His gun is drawn and in his hand as he comes up on the man from behind, his rage beginning to focus, channeling into the amusement of a game. The courier had escaped level one of their game, but level two is a real doozy. He cocks the hammer and takes aim.

Aiming a kick to the man's side, Bullseye waits for the courier to roll over before pulling the trigger - but when he does, Lester stops. He recognizes the man's face. "Ha!" He bursts out mirthlessly, a smile stretched rictus-like across his face. This presents him with some interesting opportunities.

'Hey, boss,' one of the henchmen says. 'We found the case.'

Bullseye takes it from him without thanking him, and fires two shots in quick succession - one into each of the hired goons he brought with him. To the man at his feet, he says, "Well, Barton - looks like it's just you 'n me. How's about we go visit that pretty wife 'a yours, huh?"

Checking him for weapons and getting rid of any he finds, Bullseye slings Barton over his shoulder in a fireman carry, grasping the briefcase in one hand, and carried them back to his van.
