 Building cities.

It's a very new direction for the Stark legacy, but Tony knows he can handle it.

Self-doubt isn't something he suffers from when it comes to his work.

He's relishing the opportunity to delve into the ins and outs of architecture and building design - not  his usual focuses, but he has an excellent team assembled, even if it's still, of necessity, small. With their help, he's not just going to create the city of the future, but a city on the bleeding edge of technology - off-grid; completely self-sustainable; powered entirely by green energy, and repulsor technology.

And it's the repulsor technology that's really taking this endeavor to that edge. It's his life's work, and he's spent his career jealously guarding it like a dragon's hoard. Given the events of the last few years, those days are over. They have to be. Tony's had an epiphany, and he's lost everything he's had too many times in the past not to know what's in store for himself and his crew now; the sacrifices, the hard work, and the sleepless nights.

Sleepless nights like this one. Not that he slept often anyway - he never had. Tony's not sure the last time he slept, to be honest, but it doesn't matter. He's got too many things to do. His heavily protected technology is good for so much more than he's ever used it for, due to his own arrogant selfishness, but now Tony's going to use it to do what the Stark legacy - this time in the form of Stark Resilient - has always wanted to do, but has never been able to accomplish: he's going to change the world. Save it, if he can. More immediately, he's going to rebuild his company, his fortune, and regain all that he's lost in the recent years of his exile, and give back to his closest friends what they had lost, too.

It all starts in Broxton, Oklahoma - where they're living at the moment. The government has returned most of his property, but his penthouse is gone, the building that housed it sold to the Avengers for a dollar, and he wasn't yet ready to face his parents house again. The work is here, for now - he's content to stay here for the present. It's not like he can't fly anywhere in the world he wants to, whenever he wants to. But the loss of a huge chunk of his memory has taken a toll on him, in some ways. It's made him tense, not being able to remember what he's done or said to someone. He plays it off with his usual nonchalance, but he finds more and more that he much prefers the company of the mechanical to the flesh these days.

So he builds repulsor powered cars. Sketches buildings and houses powered without electricity or fossil-fuels, and contemplates entire utility systems based on green fuel and ARC Reactor technology. He even thinks about water filtration for farmlands, as well as for drinking, constantly searching for areas he's forgotten to consider.

Tapping his charcoal pencil against the small table serving as his workshop desk, he frowns at his papers. A weary hand pulls across his face in frustration. His head hurts. It's a lot to consider, and he hasn't really slowed down since waking up from his coma. There hasn't been time, with so much to do. Tony's body has certainly survived worse - certainly this won't be the thing that kills him.
