Gabriel is crippled, but he is not incapable of dodging a fourteen year old girl's knee. He does so, and stumbles back. "Laurie? Laurie, what is wrong with y-"
And then he realizes it, and Gabriel is enraged. His eyes widen, and he is in tears (from pain, anger, and anguish collectively). He can't bring himself to strike at Laurie, but he uses what energy he has left to rush at Scarab and the pyro. He kicks at Scarab again, and grabs at the wooden desk leg to yank it out of the pyro, which would open the wound yet again.
