Sharp rocks were all well and good, and had he been tied down with rope or duct tape (got to love that duct tape) it would have been an easy fix. But because he was riding through an acid bath every trip around, his shackles were make of industrial strength plastic and rubber a good three inches thick. Just to make sure they didn't corrode before Corey had a reasonable chance at dying.
Bringing up the ground beneath the acid bath would inevitably topple the long tub, but it would also take the track out of commision and dump Corey and the train face first into the ground at high speed, the acid following in a shower upon him.
But of course, it would still take him a couple more rides around the track before he had to worry about such a spill.
