He hesitated. Everything told Franklin not to make a deal with Mephisto. It always cost more than it was worth. But... they were his parents. They were the only ones who were there for Franklin since he was born that could truly understand him. They were his family. Even with the hardships he faced with his powers, they were there for him. He couldn't let them go.
It was like when they almost died the last time, except now they were really gone.
"Wait," he said with a sudden realization. "No. No, Mephisto. I deny your offer. I don't need your help"
