It doesn't stop his momentum, but does get her off of his shoulder, launching her upwards and letting him crash headfirst into, then through the titanium reinforced outer-walls like paper all by himself.
She's off the hook for the moment, but he seems neither slowed nor happy with this development, coming tearing back through the wall a few moments later.
