That effect does a pretty nice job knocking him out of the sky. He's still getting back up, but at the moment, she's at least got a stalemate out of it until he finds more debris. In this state, he doesn't seem terribly imaginitive.
Commotion elsewhere on the battlefield also seems to at least briefly have his attention.
