James smiled and hailed a cab for them.
It didn't take long to get to the Mesa Bar and Grill. They were shown to a table in a private room. There were flowers around the room, but not roses. James had told Pepper that roses were too serious at the moment. Pepper went with daisies and the flowers made the room bright and cheery.
It reminded him of Val.
He pulled out her chair for her and waited.
